This movie shows how Mars One plans to establish a human settlement on Mars in 2023. Special appearance by our ambassabor Nobel Prize winner prof. dr. Gerard ‘t Hooft.

The entire world will be able to watch and help with decisions as the teams of settlers are selected, follow their extensive training and preparation for the mission and of course observe their settling on Mars once arrived. The emigrated astronauts will share their experiences with us as they build their new home, conduct experiments and explore Mars. The mission itself will provide us with invaluable scientific and social knowledge that will be accessible to everyone, not just an elite select few.

“How many people are willing to be isolated from the rest of humanity in a tiny metal box on an inhospitable planet for the rest of their lives, where they will be subject to difficulty sleeping, bone degeneration, muscle degeneration, loss of eyesight, radiation sickness/cancer etc etc, and given there are any, what the hell are they going to be doing up there that a rover can’t?”
