This has to be early spring since there are no leaves on the ground. Looks like a nice city. Mein grosvater stamt aus Dusseldorf! I got as close as Koln. Hope to visit Ddorf and Essen sometime.
Nee, keine Background-Musik bitte!!
I really enjoy her gymnastics 🙂 I hope many gymnasts learn from watching this docu that even if you are not in the spotlight doesn’t mean you are out of it. Hard work and sticking in there gives result in the end. I had a similar story myself back in ballet school where I always was 2nd or 3rd cast for things until one day I needed to jump in with two hours notice in a show. I made the most of that opportunity. Can’t wait for this summer now!!! Go Team GB! (and I’m a swede) 🙂
This is one of the best documentaries on sports I have ever seen.
Amazing ! Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany (after Berlin) and the eighth-largest city in the European Union. The city is home to approximately 1.8 million people, while the Hamburg Metropolitan Region (including parts of the neighboring Federal States of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein) has more than 4.3 million inhabitants. The port of Hamburg is the second-largest port in Europe (after that of Rotterdam), and the ninth-largest in the world.——–
Hamburg’s official name is the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (German: Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg). It makes reference to Hamburg’s history as a member of the medieval Hanseatic League, as a free imperial city of the Holy Roman Empire, and also to the fact that Hamburg is a city-state and one of the sixteen States of Germany.——
Hamburg is a major transportation hub in Northern Germany. It has become a media and industrial center, with factories such as Airbus, Blohm + Voss and Aurubis. The radio and television broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk and publishers such as Gruner + Jahr and Spiegel-Verlag represent the important media industry in Hamburg. In total there are more than 120,000 enterprises. The city is a major tourist destination both for domestic and overseas visitors, receiving about 7.7 million overnight stays in 2008.

Wow, really like her energy. I remember reading about her years ago when Oprah first introduced Spanx and her subsequent success. Look at how far she had gone now.
I found this video to be so inspiring and I added it to WebToTheRescue[dot]com, a free Entrepreneurship website that I created. There’s so much that we can all learn from how Sara Blakely created Spanx. She’s an example of how a worldwide success can be launched with a lot of hard work and tremendous perseverance – on a shoestring.
The “Love” of Money is the root of all Evil. The Bible never said Money is the root of all evil. The emphasis here is “The Love” . Greed can be described as the Love of Money. We all know where Greed brought us! Greed is BAD. 1 Timothy 6:10
Russia’s President-elect Vladimir Putin has been sworn in as the new head of state. Putin is an inauguration champion — he has played the main role in the performance three times out of six to have taken place in modern history. The inauguration ceremony took place in the Grand Kremlin Palace.
There are quite a few people who would argue the opposite, given his massive imprisonment of socialists and communists. Besides, capitalism still existed under Hitler, and he was brought to power by wealthy industrialists. Economic policy can be changed under democracies too, I don’t pretend to know precisely how it works, all I have observed is the failure of state owned industry to provide efficient service.
He did fight the (bolshevik, jewish led)communists, as they were about to topple the state and implement a bolshevik terror regime (see russia 1917). He was against this international jew led “socialism” (in fact terror regime). He was a national socialist, ending the rule of banks (capitalism). You might look into how Putin renationalized the russian gas and oil (like Chavez) and how he LIFTED his people life standards. That is not failure.

The love of wilderness is more than a hunger for what is always beyond reach; it is also an expression of loyalty to the earth … the only home we shall ever know, the only paradise we ever need — if only we had the eyes to see.
I think I hit a nerve yesterday. This little blog has limped along for the past year getting from 200 to a couple of thousand hits per day on posts about weightlifting, strength training, zombies, the occasional nice meal I cooked, or some amusing or meaningful thing that happened to me.
Then yesterday I posted that I was pissed about the whole diet situation in America and the post gets 17,000 hits within 24 hours and more comments than all the other posts I have put up within the past year put together.
I think some people misinterpreted just why I am so pissed. I got comments about people being free to do what they want and eat what they want, free choice, and some people apparently mad that I want to tell them what to do. And that wasn’t my point at all.

Long-term study found an association between the two

MONDAY, May 14 (HealthDay News) — It’s graduation season, and new research offers yet another reason to congratulate someone who has completed at least nine years of education: They’re likely to live longer.
An unusual, comprehensive study involving 1.2 million Swedes shows that students who were exposed to nine years of education rather than eight had a lower mortality rate after age 40. While the finding suggests an association between level of education and longevity, it does not establish a cause-and-effect link.

“It’s great to get away to a place where there are few activities besides walking around and exploring and relaxing together. On trips like this, John and I remember why we like each other so much!” says New Jersey resident Jeanellen Vapsva, who hopes to re-create a romantic kid-free weekend she and her husband
